We are a newly formed research group, under the direction of Dr. Hadi Nasrabadi, in the Harold Vance Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University. Broadly, our interests lie in understanding the hydrocarbon phase behavior and flow at nano, micro (pore), and macro (reservoir) scales. We hope to leverage this understanding to guide hydrocarbon recovery design and process optimization in various types of reservoir rocks and fluids. We are particularly enthusiastic about the experimental and modeling study of hydrocarbon phase behavior in nano pores (common in shale reservoirs), multi-scale reservoir simulation using lattice Boltzmann method, and compositional reservoir simulation using advanced equations of state
